Vicky Martin (Pilates Instructor and Sports Massage Therapist)
I am a full-time Sports Massage Therapist, and STOTT Pilates Instructor (Matwork -essential/intermediate/advanced) and Reformer – essential/intermediate/advanced). I also work for the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) as an assistant tutor.
I offer a comprehensive approach to managing muscular pain, combining functional stability and sports massage techniques. This can form a useful part of your preparation when undertaking sporting challenges or overcoming the stresses, aches and pains of everyday modern life.
I have previously provided services to the British Diving Olympic Team at The Quays in Southampton and continue to be involved with their young divers
Rebecca Rees (Chiropractor)
I first became interested in Chiropractic after receiving treatment for back pain and headaches as a teenager. Soon after, I went on to study Chiropractic at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth and graduated with distinction in Masters of Chiropractic. I worked in the Bristol area for a number of years before joining my boyfriend on the South Coast and setting up Wickham Chiropractic. I love the local area and am pleased to be able to base myself amongst such a thriving community. My aim is to offer honest, high quality healthcare to the local people.
I enjoy treating people of all ages, from babies to the elderly. Furthermore, I have completed further training in pre and post-natal care, which I thoroughly enjoy. It is very rewarding to be able to relieve and prevent many of the problems that can arise both during and after pregnancy.
My other interests also include sports injuries and rehabilitation. In the past I have worked closely with a number of rugby teams, providing treatment both on and off the pitch. I enjoy treating each patient as a whole. My aim is to help them to get out of pain and stay that way through a combination of treatment, lifestyle advice and rehabilitative exercises.
Rachel Cherry (Pilates Instructor and Physiotherapist)
Having qualified as a physiotherapist 10 years ago, I have come to appreciate the importance and benefits of regular activity that enables both stretching and strengthening. This drew me to the STOTT approach to Pilates, and I completed my training in 2017.
I love being able to share the knowledge I have gained with people just starting out with Pilates and being able to challenge those further along their journeys using a mix of different equipment. Every class is slightly different while remaining true to the principles.
Jade Hepenstal (Pilates Instructor)
I have been practising Pilates for 10 years following a major car accident for rehabilitation. I am passionate about how Pilates, health and fitness benefits everyone and want to share this with others. I qualified in STOTT in January 2018 and also teach reformer Pilates.
Nevin Simpkin (Pilates Instructor)
I am passionate about the benefits that pilates can bring to everyone.
I qualified with STOTT in 2017 and am passionate about the benefits that pilates can bring to everyone. I am also currently working for various Health Clubs and Gyms on the south coast as well as running my own classes. I’m trained in small equipment including foam rollers, small balls, fitballs, fitness circles, flex bands and am also qualified in Advanced Matwork. I am also a ZENGA and Reformer pilates instructor (Beginner/Intermediate level)
Anne Hume (Pilates Instructor and Sports Massage Therapist)
I have been a health professional for over 12 years, predominantly as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist. I also qualified as a Personal Trainer Level 3 in 2014, and a STOTT Pilates Instructor in 2017.
Having experienced back issues myself, and been actively involved in various sports over the years I started Pilates eight years ago and never looked back. Feeling the huge improvements in my own physical health and performance has made me very passionate about the benefits of Pilates.
I felt I wanted to help clients with their own personal goals, focusing on improving posture, core muscle strength and pelvic floor muscles, sometimes using small equipment, to make the sessions varied and interesting.
